Estimates & quotes
If you would like an estimate of the cost of editing your document(s), I'm happy to provide one after we've discussed the size and scope of the project.
Although I endeavour to make an accurate estimate, inevitably the actual time spent on editing may vary from the estimated time. Therefore, the cost involved may be slightly higher or lower.
If you would prefer the work to be done for a fixed fee, I can provide a quote.
In this case, I will need to know whether further editing beyond the first round is needed. That is, do you want your responses to my queries concerning the document(s) and any other of your revisions to be edited? What is the extent of your revisions - are they minor and marked up, or are they major and not clearly tracked?
If the documents you deliver are substantially different from what we discussed (e.g. in terms of size, or language) or if any further editing is needed that is out of the scope of what we originally agreed on, I will let you know the effect on the estimated or quoted price.
